Starting as a kid on the job

When I was nine years old, my father brought me onto his flooring projects. Not to sweep up—to learn. I watched him measure, cut, install, and stand behind every job with his name on it. That wasn't a casual business lesson. It was a foundation.

I got my flooring license in 1992. By then, I'd already spent years seeing what made the difference between a flooring job that lasted and one that failed. It wasn't shortcuts. It wasn't talking around problems. It was knowing the material, knowing the method, and knowing that the homeowner or facility manager trusting you was the only real currency.

We service residential flooring throughout Buckeye, and somewhere along the way, we recognized a gap. Medical facilities—hospitals, surgical centers, laboratories—need flooring that goes beyond standard. Not just durable, but compliant, maintained by staff who understand that a single misstep in installation can affect operations. That's when we built our commercial division, focused specifically on that market.
